Mara Wilson is a mural painter and photo realism portrait artist based out of Knoxville, TN. Her mission is to bring value and joy to the lives of her clients, while also successfully balancing her life as a modern woman, wife, mother, and working artist.

Mara started her art education at West Virginia University and then moved on to earn an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia., PA. Since 2013, she married her best friend, started a family, and has been working to build the Mara Wilson Art business.

Mara's original and commissioned artwork has made it's way on to the covers of both domestic and international art publications, and also in to the homes and businesses of over 200+ clients. Mara's modern approach to portraiture is to work directly from high definition photographs, rather than the antiquated model of having a client come sit in a studio on multiple occasions for the duration of a project. By painting directly from photographs and sometimes combining multiple photographs to create the perfect template, Mara's approach lessens the time commitment of her clients, and always lends itself to enhancing the overall quality of the work.
